Martin Robinson
Martin Robinson – National Director of Together in Mission. Martin was born in India of missionary parents and then brought up in Scotland where his father was a church planter. In his early 20’s Martin trained for the ministry and his first church was inner city Birmingham. That muti-ethnic congregation engaged in church planting and Martin together with his wife Lynda went to lead one of those church plants. After 13 years in local ministry, Martin went to work for the Bible Society in a variety of roles. In his role as Director of Mission and Theology and since, Martin has written many books on the broad theme of mission, including Faith of the Unbeliever and Invading Secular Space. In 2002 Martin joined Together in Mission as the National Director.
David Lawrence
David Lawrence- Director of Studies. David qualified as a teacher and taught for several years before joining Scripture Union’s schools ministry team. In 1985 he and his wife joined a newly planted independent congregation in the Bristol area, where David has remained in leadership ever since. Over the years that church has seen significant growth and during that time he has also been involved in planting churches in Bristol and elsewhere in the UK. David has an MTh in Applied Theology and an MA in Consultancy for Mission and Ministry as well as many years of experience acting as a consultant to local congregations and Christian organisations. He is currently working for a D.Min with Kings College, London.
David has written several books for young people (including the award winning Chocolate Teapot), Heaven: it’s Not the End of the World- a popular theology of the New Heavens and the New Earth- and Winning Ways: Creating a Culture of Outreach in your Church- a recent joint publication with evangelist Philip Jinadu. David has worked with Together in Mission since 2003.
Lynda Robinson
Lynda Robinson – Quality Assurance Manager.Lynda was brought up in Birmingham and she spent 15 years working in Further Education before taking her present role with Together in Mission in 2003. She studied for a BA in the Philosophy of Education which helped Lynda in one of her key jobs, teaching adults to teach adults.
Mary Publicover
Mary Publicover – Information Assistant. Mary was born in Manchester and studied zoology at Liverpool University. Mary and her husband Steve then moved to Birmingham and she pursued a career in information management, initially with Cadbury’s and then with teaching hospitals attached to Birmingham University. Mary is working with Together in Mission in a voluntary capacity.
Vicky Elliott
Vicky Elliott- Academic Programme Manager. Vicky has a background in academic geology and has recent management involvement in a Christian re-use and re-settlement project. Her passion is toward advocacy for vulnerable adults and their families. She has been a student on our Missional Leadership course for nearly two years and joined the Together in Mission team in October 2008.
